Motor City Restoration’s speciality is full and partial automotive restorations and builds. Our restoration specialists work with you to capture your vision and use it to create your ideal car, whether we’re stripping it down to the bare bones for a frame-off rotisserie restoration or giving it simple mechanical and powertrain upgrades. We have had the privilege of breathing new life into treasured family heirlooms, classic street rods and daily drivers, and we’ve even helped customers locate a project car to buy and have restored.

Our restoration services include a combination of our body and paint, fabrication, interior, and mechanical services. If your ideal restoration includes new lightweight composite parts, our composite shop can also step in and help. It’s our job to make your automotive dreams a reality; if you can dream it, we can build it.

Fabrications

Motor City Restorations contains a complete fabrication shop that offers sheet metal restoration, hard part creation, and an abundance of creative engineering. Every single day our metal workers are welding together new parts, repairing or creating new hard-to-find panels, modifying existing panels to fit an upgraded body, or customizing new closeout panels for show displays.

Interior

Motor City Restorations provides complete interior restorations and repair services. We tailor each interior project to suit your specific requests, whether you’re searching for new factory materials to maintain the original design of your vehicle, or you’re thinking outside the box and would like a more custom project.

Our interior services handle seats, headliners, carpeting, door panels, dashboards, and consoles, and we’ve worked with all combinations of vinyl, leather, and suede with varying stitch styles and colors. If you’re looking for an interior renovation for your show car, we offer custom closeouts and framing in the trunk and under the hood. Our goal with each interior project is showroom-quality style that exceeds your custom requests.

Mechanical

Motor City Restorations is staffed with a team of ASE Certified mechanics whose abilities expand through all levels of restoration across the engine and powertrain. Our mechanical services include electrical, chassis, brakes, suspension, engine performance upgrades, modern engine swaps, rewiring, alignments, and even powder and ceramic coating for headers and exhaust. Our mechanics keep their skills wide and varied, which allows our shop to welcome common classics as well as exotic or rare builds.

Body & Paint

Motor City Restorations is equipped with a state-of-the-art paint booth that allows our paint and body specialists to restore both high-level show cars and daily drivers alike. Our paint booth maintains the perfect temperature, pressure, and humidity in order to exceed OEM-quality paint jobs, which we’re proud to say has landed our work in Autorama and other auto shows. Our frame-off rotisserie restoration method means our specialists are reaching every nook and cranny for thorough bodywork, soda blasting, and paint applications.

Lightweight Composites

Motor City Restorations Lightweight Composites are designed to be the lightest and strongest racing components available. Our track-tested hoods, doors, deck lids, clips, and hinge kits have seen speeds in excess of 200 MPH. We build hoods and doors with additional lightweight materials in high-stress areas for added strength and durability without compromising weight.
